Hoping to source a good lh2.4 o2 sensor in the Sydney region. I would buy new but need asap as car is stranded in blue mountains. Thank you
[nsw] Lh2.4 Oxygen sensor
The O2 sensor isn’t going to cause the engine to not run, but it will run not at 100% percent.
Have you considered there may be other things that cause a no-start?
It starts but afrs are around 9-11 idle and driving. Wants to stall out when at a stop. The sensor got a bunch of atf in it when a transmission cooler line burst
Measure the voltage from the O2 sensor when idling and hot engine should be between 0.1-0.9v
May be fuel pressure reg? Check the hose from FPR to inlet manifold to make sure it's not dumping in raw fuel??
True
What does it drive like under load?
If you unplug the sensor, won't the car default to open loop? Check light will come on but fuel should be close to normal.
Thanks for the replies! Fpr is new and didn’t seem to be leaking so doubt it would be that. Bought a new o2 sensor as the wires are exposed at the sensor and probably got oil and water into it but if that doesn’t fix it I’ll check coolant temp sensor. Under load it is sluggish and makes about 5psi before bogging when afrs dip below 9.
Are temp sensors for gauge and ecu the same part number?
TigaAre temp sensors for gauge and ecu the same part number?
No, the gauge and ECU temp senders are different (in fact the plugs should be different as well - the ECU one has the same type harness connector as a fuel injector, whereas the gauge sender will have either a single spade connector or a twin bullet-style connector (depending on year and model). Make sure you get the LH2.4 ECU temp sensor as it's different than the LH2.2 temp sensor.
