SLT16 Need a 3.54 or 3.31 diff for my M47 740.With the 3.91 diff + M47 combo i cruise at about 3.3k RPM at 110kmh in 5th - a bit too much for my liking. Location - QLD preferred but can arrange transport.
SLT16 Maybe it depends on the market, but a lot of sources say 3.54 came with the M46, which should also be the diff for the 47.

Ring and pinion still available.I'm pretty sure these are from a later 240 or 740 but not 100% sure (is there any way to be sure?) The ring and pinion are labelled 39-11 which I take to mean 39 pinion teeth and 11 ring gear teeth which would be a 3.54:1 ratio, but I didn't count the gear teeth yet. The diff centre has a tone wheel on it for ABS and/or speedometer. I can count the teeth if it's important.$100 for the centre and $50 for the ring and pinion. I THINK it probably came from a 240 but I'm not sure...I did a visual tooth count on it just now and it does appear to be 39 and 11, which would be 3.54:1, so I think it's the ratio you're after.Regards,Greg
