Ex850R Vintage Audio! Tell us more!
There isn't very much to say, but I started really young in the vintage audio world and in college I do still mess with it some, but disappointed many people because I want to work for the park system instead of being an engineer.
Either way I used to do a ton of repairs on so many goodies I could only dream of owning. Most of my work was replacing channels in blown gear but I have built a few nice Hafler dh200 and dh120 amps, and have done a handful of restorations on tube gear. Currently I have a couple heathkit amps hanging around along with a Dynaco st70 and eico hf85.
Since going to college I have left all my gear with my parents. The system I have setup is simple. I have a Sansui 5000x with pair of original JBL L100 century speakers, with 2 sets of L100t. I have a yamaha cdc-845 cd player with a Kenwood kd600 turntable (luxman tonearm with Shure m3d which is an odd cart to have). I don't do much these days besides refoaming speakers and making new speaker grills. I did 4 Bose 501 series iii barn finds today and delivered one pair in my troublesome 240 wagon.
