Dim dip headlights

I know that turning the light switch to one will turn lights on, my question is like the v70 and 850 the light switch is in the o position and when you start car the dim dip headlights come on a safety system on all European cars which is law in these country’s I know there is a knob near the headlight switch that you can turn off to deactivate them my question is how can I get my C30 to have Dim dip headlights to come on automatically when starting car Again I know I could just turn switch to one and drive on sidelights but they stay on when you switch of engine so you always have to remember to turn switch to 0 , I was told that you might have to reprogram something in lighting to get this system working on a 2007 C30, I hope I have tried to explain this problem. Try putting the headlights on, then starting the engine, then shutting it down, the headlights should turn off with the engine.

I assume the original poster is using the term "dim dip" lights as meaning daytime running lights. As you said, just put the switch in the full "on" position and leave it there. The lights will be on when driving and off when the car is switched off. There's no function for daytime running lights on the AUS C30s. If you want to be seen, just leave the lights on all the time. Only drawback is a bit more draw on the alternator and your globes may last 20 years instead of 30 years! :)
