Wanted: B20 oil pan

I have one but its very very rough. Enough to mock up with but would take more effort than its worth to make good enough for the final build.

Dumb question but could a b30 pan just be shortened?

And or... why are you not making one out of sheet metal?

^ B30 pans are harder to find now than B18 / B20 ones.

@VolvoHordz you may have luck out at Northern Wreckers at Londonderry , only hassle is they're not open on weekends (or weren't, when I lived up there).

I'd imagine making a sheetmetal one would be pretty straightforward. Cut a B230 sump 10mm from the flange all the way around and box it up, reuse the drain plug, profit?

Looks like I have found someone with a spare b20 sump. Just got to organise getting it.

Havent been to northern wreckers for about a year now but pretty sure they dont have any 1 series cars anymore. Gone are the good old days.

Could i make a sheet metal sump? Sure. Id probably just make it from scratch. I have plenty of b230 sumps and even a complete b30 but i think more hassle than its worth to hack up a dirty thin stock pan.

At the end of the day a b20 sump works and saves me hours of fucking around. Im trying to actually finally finish the car haha its already been over 10 years...

If you started with a 360 sump you could have a nice alloy sump with a nice think flange....
