As the title suggests, I am looking for a driveshaft for a 240 with an M47 5 speed gearbox.

Got one on the Gold Coast

I was getting up to Brisbane regularly for a while though I think you dislike us Victorians at the moment and will not let us visit.

If you pulled in half and cable tied front half to back half would it fit in a regular size box?

I assume it is rubber donut to rear uni. Not fussed on state of the unis or the centre bearing as they will be replaced.

Yeah I can zip tie both half's to each other.

Will it fit in a box - yes. A pretty big one though.

You can still visit QLD from Victoria as long as you're not in one of the Covid hotspots in Melbourne.

Just get a QLD entry permit, takes 30 seconds. As long as you have the permit on your windshield you won't be stopped and can go through.

And yes, it's got the rubber flex disc at the front to the transmission and rear uni joint

Long drive from melbourne for a drive shaft. I flew up for work quite a bit. Not in a hotspot though aus post seems a good option here.

@dmc the rear large propshaft is common on the 240s regardless of the transmission type, so you may be able to get by with just the front half...would be a lot easier to post maybe?

@dmc assuming it's the same diameter shaft, as there were smaller-diameter early shafts on some 240s...and forgot to mention some had the rear shaft with the inner and outer sleeves with rubber isolator.
