ICE 4200 coil ignition upgrade and Ultra Racing front and rear sways bars installed (25 mm front and 23mm rear)
Rear Swaybar is fouling on the OBX exhaust need to take it to the local exhaust shop to modify slightly.
Ignition coil has made significant improvements in the engine responsiveness right across the rev range, its much more responsive down low and requires much less throttle application. It pulls much harder on the top end as well so its a win all around.
Sways bars wow! - a must have modification to any enthusiast in my own opinion , having only taken the car for a quick spin around town brought me alot of smiles, out of all the suspension changes done to date, lowered springs, upgraded strut/shock (Koni FSD), 235 tires, and poly sub frame inserts, all of them combined did not amount to the handling improvements of the swaybars alone.
Entering a corner and exiting a corner the car stays netural/flat allowing much faster and quicker exit speeds.
I can apply the throttle so much earlier and can now steer with accuracy and confidence, the car is now FUN to drive.
With the upgraded rear swaybar it required two hands in wigging, jigging and also banging the passenger side end till it went in, luckily no further modifications required. Unfortunately with the solid straight bar weld it fouls the Sway bar and will require modification to the aftermarket exhaust to clear, it will be a minor alteration as its resting on the exhaust flange/clamp. Be as that may i have to refrain from driving it til its fixed as its already stratched the paint off and superficially rubbing the surface of the SB.
Fronts the challenge was removing the factory one, dropping both rear subframe bolts and the plate and loosing both the lower control arm knuckles allowed us wiggle room and along with the pry bar got the job done.
The welded bushing plates on the oem front SB is what makes it difficult, in hindsight we could have cut it in half with a grinder and be done with it but we didn't do that.
Also the 3 inch downpipe also made it a little more difficult.
So overall very happy with both mods wish i done them a lot earlier.
