I've checked with my contact at work and he's OK with shipping splitters to Qld Tingalpa depot from Heathcote for free for the Qld buyers.
Possibility for same to ACT buyers. Then Melbourne buyers from there, will ask truckies at work if they'd take them for some sort of deal eg carton beer or similar.
Just need to make sure they're inside the cabin to protect them.
Ill check with First Choice couriers for yours Steve and a couple of other sources as Wollongong has plenty of trucking companies that do long haul.
If anyone has any other ideas please?
