850 centre console and dash cluster bulbs

It's there an Australian source for the above bulbs, would normally just go online overseas supplier and order on line but postage time in current conditions is crazy, eg I'm still waiting for petrol cap retainer for 850 fuel cap genuine volvo from UK, 8 weeks now.

I think they're NLA. But I will check again, since the same globes are used in a 940 for the aerial, rear window heater, headlight and fog lamp switches and I need dozens of them

If the bulb pulls out of the holder (and I think it should) the bulbs are readily available. I use Exelite bulbs the part number is W253, 12v2w t5 wedges.

Go to Jaycar, get globes with tail wires and desolder the old ones, silver in New, LED or what you want.

Jayxar $2.00 LED each if u buy more than 2. Fold wires down, remove old soldered ones in holder, carefully insert wires into holder and poke wires through side holes before pushing bulb into holder.

Slightly larger, remove old bulb from holder rear seat/centre glove box courtesy light.

Tommorow try same with auto selection indicator light, could do with being brighter wattage.

Dimmable? Id hate the operating theatre lighting from full bright.....

It's no where near as bright as in photo, by the time it's placed behind the white plastic screens that clip into the rear of centre arm rest it's enough just to light inside the centre arm rest.

The auto indicator light can't use same bulb as it's to short and wires arnt long enough.

$2.20 bulb from Jaycar today, just poked wires in with the resistor to positive wire of holder, I'll finish modifying bulb holder, also do able, bulbs only available in clear, red & blue, was hopeing to get green to match original dash cluster colour but unlucky so far there.

I've ordered some other buld from fcpeuro but monumentally expensive with Aus$ conversion and postage.
