Yay, got the LH side done this morning. Interestingly there was no oil in the left side, so it must have leaked out over time. RH side still had oil. Both of the rear arm bushes were split in a couple spots, and were extremely flexible. It will be interesting to drive the car and see if much more noise is transmitted into the cabin. I imagine with the stiff rear SuperPro bushes, when hitting a bump the wheel won’t be able to recess (move rearward) as much, so it could be a bit more jarring? I’m hoping it gets read of the clunks in the front! :) Now just need to re-settle the suspension to tighten the front bush bolts, then check and adjust toe-in.
Is there any reason to keep the old rear bushing housings (pictured)? I guess if somebody is going to replace their bushes with another brand that re-uses the original housings, they could just use their own old ones, so I think these will go into the bin! But you never know...they could be useful to support a mailbox post, or for something? Argh! :)
