  • 240 manual flywheel for lh 2.4

Hey guys

I’m after a manual flywheel for a 240 with a lh 2.4 computer. Flywheel has a ring with cut outs for the crank angle sensor.

240s from 1989 to 1993 will have this flywheel.

Thanks

I can't help you but I will say be sure to buy new flywheel bolts and loctite them to the correct torque

Also change the rear crank seal while you're there

I use a machine shop to machine the LH 2.2 flywheels to work with the pickup for a LH2.4. Also can do the flat flywheels from earlier model B23/B230 engines. So far the testing is almost complete though the mount for the 2.4 pickup on the back of the block will need to be shaved a couple of mm to move the sensor closer to the block.

Finding a genuine flywheel will be tough, there are not many around.

Plan is to get out there this week to get another one or two machined, it has been about a year since last on this project, life and work gets in the way...

Available new from Skandix if you have deep pockets!

Thanks for the reply guys

I was hoping someone somewhere would have one but that’s okay.

I’ll might try drill out or machine my original one and make it work somehow.

ill keep you posted and see how I go

There is a fella at the sunshine coast that has one, chasing $350 plus postage...

I should have a spare one in a week that is an LH2.2 that has been modified. Dropped a few off at the machine shop this morning.

Be careful drilling them as the LH2.2 has a different step on the side near the ring gear to the LH2.4 and the drilling will be quite difficult.

Will post photos when they are back.

Having a couple of flat ones done too, again photos once done and they will be here for sale.
