  • Greeting - 1977 Volvo 264GL B27E Barn Find - Project

Hello Folk

A new member on this forum and looking for advice, bit and bob for my restoration. A barn find Dec 2017 1977 264GL B27E in storage for 17 years and started work a year ago. Its a start stop progress and mainly Summer I get to work on it

Its slow progress and rescuing as much chrome bits I can. Since the engine started , its done almost 2000 km on the stand. Pic of the rescued chrome bits .

2 months later

Back on my 264 project . New Exhaust turned up and some odd bits done last week . Exhaust system is from Skandix Starla SWE .

Removed rear headrest and dash , cleaned and gave some plastic treatment .

Looking to pre wire for new speakers etc and fitted Rear 3rd Break Light . Rear Seat belts all looks fine . That's it for today.

    Slow progress some update on bits and bob . To keep it stock looks and not cut into front door trim for R-L Speakers , I found this Retro Sound Dual cone speaker perfect for the Center Grill. Also found this Volvo CR-2170 Period Cassette Stereo from Ebay in good working condition 4x8watt RMS .

      chrome trim, weather seal and trim clips restored and plastic clips purchased

      10 months later

      Long overdue update ,Some interior cleanup, removed all the old underlay and restore the carpet.

      Also replaced the seat belt sensor that was broken .
