Also dropped the motor about 30mm lower so clearance issues for clutch are gone. Unsure of what master cylinder to use if anyone has any recommendations of what may suit. Here’s a pic of my cat too I can’t work out how to get rid of ha ha

I noticed in the first pic, you are using some "CAT" parts. That should make that V8 purr like the proverbial. :-)

Not a whole lot to brag about, still getting distracted by other projects.

radiator mount works successfully, come across a 5 core unit which should suffice. Got a fuel line arriving next week, some new leads (the electronic dizzy has bloody male fittings).

tailshaft is in, had powerhouse in warragul build a new balanced unit

auto elec booked for next week... yeah I wanna neat job, my electrical would be messy and rushed.

might be able to turn a key in a few weeks I’m thinking

It is brilliant recommend for sure, especially for the price. Even holds up against brake fluid. The only product I’ve had make any visual effect is brake cleaner.

oh yeah that brk clnr is filthy stuff. cant believe the people letting it onto their skin! good to hear its good value paint. im lookin to paint a carport area. cheers.

Just so ya know was a petrol oil resistant product they have not the standard concrete sealer. Was a few bucks extra. I think most the work is in the prep making sure it’s clean then acid washed if it’s smooth finish

Haven’t updated much here

motor is running , cam has been run in.

ran into a few little dramas with the coil, thought the carby was playing up… turns out the Volvo resistor drops to 4V, wasn’t getting continuous power to the dizzy. Currently waiting on new coil and dizzy at the moment going to run solid 12V coil no resistor.

hopefully next week drive it down the exhaust shop for a new system!

Well… drove car for first time today, finally!

the slave on the CRS Bellhousing being 1” bore caused a few headaches, went shopping at the wreckers for the largest master I could find, with no success. Ended up at a trailer shop for $40 found what I needed to get it going, next step will be fork out for a Willwood master with remote res now I know it all works.

next job get the brakes working got no pressure to a rear caliper….

then exhaust shop hopefully next week

will tidy up a few engine bay items and “hook up” the emissions lines for engineers final inspection very soon

car passed final engineering inspection today (not with wheels in the pic this one just for lols)

all done now time for a few cheeky mods but otherwise an awesome cruiser that tows my camper with no problems at all! Pity about the price of fuel

Yes good fun to drive but unfortunately come across some back issues that prevented me from driving. Should be good to go again in a few days time, had surgery almost 4 weeks ago now.

since then had the vass processed finally and got the mod plates on the car. Was a fair nightmare getting all the paperwork processed from the engineer and ended up costing $2,300 when the original estimate was $1200…

plan to fit some Alfa seats next for additional comfort once I find a suitable set
