Want to upgrade the turbo a little. After an HPT 13c actuator. Or should I just buy new from here?

What car was the turbo off? 940 turbo, 940SE or 940S?

Have an ebc hooked upto it an can only get 6.5-7psi out of it fwiw
Perhaps try putting a bit of preload on the wastegate by screwing in the threaded actuator arm until the hole in the end of the rod is half way beyond the pin on the wastegate flapper arm in the closed position.
If that doesn't net more boost in combination with the ebc, check the diaphragm of the actuator or you ebc wiring.
Thanks for the info Sam. My mechanic also told me this. I think ill prefer to buy the new actuator and go from there. I do also have a suspicion the ebc is not working. A new actuator is fairly straight forward and not so costly so will do that along side the ebc health check!
