dmc "Volvo R Sport turbo kit from the 80's currently fitted to a B230K - which is the carburettored B230 from 1989.\r\n\r\nThe kit is almost entirely factory parts.\r\n\r\nThis was built up a few months back and was in my 740 wagon for a month to ensure it ran fine - which it did. Boost was at about 5 PSi as it was not a race car, just a quick wagon. Air Fuel Ratio was good at normal driving and a little rich under boost, which is Ok.\r\n\r\nIncluded are:\r\nR Sport manifold, carburettor, intake ducts\r\n850 T5\/R turbo\r\n90+ B230 exhaust manifold\r\nTurbo EZK computer and harness with block mounted distributor\r\nOriginal R Sport distributor with vacuum\/boost advance\/retard included (not used)\r\nMagecor ignition leads\r\nCarburettor rebuilt with genuine kit\r\nCarburettor needle for a B23 (closest available to a B230) Information available for where to get a B21 needle\r\nB230K engine - it was a factory carburettor so the cam is good for a carburettor - more vacuum at lower revs to help the carb work.\r\n740 turbo downpipe and cat converter (hollow)\r\n\r\nNew Malpassi turbo fuel pressure regulator\r\nThe in tank pump from a 740 turbo was used and it worked fine. The low pressure one. All that was done was to adjust the fuel pressure at the regulator\r\n\r\nNew genuine Volvo manifold gaskets\r\nNew genuine Volvo brake booster hose\r\nNew genuine Volvo turbo to manifold bolts\r\nNew genuine Volvo intake manifold bolts\r\nNew timing belt and all oil seals\r\nNew rear main oil seal\r\nNew genuine Volvo sump gasket\r\n\r\nNew NGK BR7EIX Iridium plugs\r\nNew oil, Penrite HPR40\r\nOil drain into modified sump using original hard pipe from turbo into flex hose from Pirtek and clamps\r\nBraided line oil feed from front of block with modification to alternator bracket to allow it to fit.\r\n80 Amp alternator\r\nNew genuine Volvo rubber mounting bushes for alternator\r\n2 new genuine fan belts\r\nNew genuine plug for rear of head where distributor goes on a 740\r\nNew iPd plug retaining plate for rear of head\r\n\r\nTurbo intake pipe from a Garret turbo (that connects to an air filter)\r\nBoth water hoses for water feed into turbo, one genuine Volvo, one aftermarket (as it is not available genuine). One lower radiator hose, one coolant resovior hose.\r\nBosch fuel filter\r\nDeep dish flywheel (240\/740) OR flat flywheel (140) OR auto flexplate with adapter included\r\n\r\n\r\nAll of it including engine stand if wanted for $2500\r\nIt cost $3000 in parts to build so it will be a cash loss, and the time too. \r\n\r\nA new Sachs\/genuine 740 turbo clutch is available too, $400 (will add this to other parts listing)\r\nYoshifab engine mount adapters to install into a 140 available, $100\r\n\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/dm\/0yjjizb5w9v0.jpg[\/img]\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/bv\/ho2djvp0wqzi.jpg[\/img]\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/k1\/wacbh33ng7wu.jpg[\/img]\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/gi\/2drdx3b0q641.jpg[\/img]\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/ii\/b4cf6g1pczzz.jpg[\/img]\r\n[img]https:\/\/ozvolvo.org\/uploads\/editor\/g1\/fis664m091ic.jpg[\/img]\r\n"
No idea who owns the car, the engine is clearly mine. Yes, shameless self promotion.
