Hello ozvolvo brains trust!
Does anyone know where I can get a vented cap like the one from Yoshifab? By the time I factor in shipping, this thing will cost me about $200!

Making one by using a bulkhead mount -10an fitting and an early steel oil cap from a 240 shouldn't be super hard.
Otherwise 100 series and the like have a 5/8"(?) pipe that comes out if the top of the oil cap.
Weld the AN fitting to the valve cover?
Hey thanks guys. I don't mind making one if there are no other options. I have the steel caps from the 360s valve cover and I could definitely make something work from that, but the things I create never turn out as nice and usually cost me just as much in time and energy.
I am really just wondering if there is another option to buy something like Yoshifabs creation?
Are you using a 530/531 head, or an earlier 160/398/405 head? If earlier, I have a B21 valve cover with breather outlet.
@Angus242164 thanks Angus. I'm using the 531 head.
Ok. So, not having any luck sourcing another company offering a vented valve cap, I decided to make my own. Actually, I made two...
Here's how I did it:
02 sensor extender - m18 x 1.5 thread and 37mm long.
M18 1.5 to AN10 banjo fitting
Welded onto cap and primed
Hole cut out of oil cap lid + painted
Just waiting on the banjo bolts to arrive. I personally prefer the banjo bolt setup, rather than a straight pipe or vertical fitting, because I have about 50mm of clearance between the bonnet and the oil cap in the 360. I will post a photo of it all together once I'm done. I had to pay for my machinist friend to weld the 02 sensor extension on, which almost doubled the cost of making them! But each one cost approx $55, not including my time. $35 in fittings and $20 in labour.
Looks really good! I can MIG weld at home and have a bucket full of the steel caps, maybe we should go into business!

I am always open to going into business with like-minded individuals. But ah, maybe something more sustainable
Here's the links to the fittings if you wish to do them yourself?
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183788581084I also ordered one of these, but I might just be using a straight an10 hose connection that I have here already.

@Angus242164 No worries. I just checked out that seller on eBay. Very impressed with their postage rates and prices! I'll keep them in mind when I need my next fix. Thanks!
I'll get NavFab to start making these then.

NavFab has a nice ring to it.
