blondejay;23532 wroteI should visit. Pick up an adjustable pan hard rod. And we can have a look. The brembo/R calipers would be ideal. Then add some ultra large rotors on there. See if we can wobble on a focus/mondeo/kuga or evoque rotor.
I havent seen an evoque rotor. Have you got some dimensions?
Panhard bars are made to order for the 7/9, but certainly no problem. My July weekends are booked out now but can catch up on a weekend after that or a week night with some prior notice.
Vee_Que;23558 wroteI have spare struts and I want to get onto these springs soon too Ash. 940 jumbos are a good option for 7s as they are a thicker rotor so they warp less easy as I've found the 740 ones do. But that is for the cheaper brands
No problem. I assumed you were waiting to recover from weddings and honeymoons and that you'd let me know if/when you wanted to make some progress with it.
blondejay;23567 wroteMaybe that's what has happened to me Alex? Maybe that's why I'm always getting feed back. YES!!!! Time to get some new rotors on there. ;P let's get these 17" finished and see how bit I can go
The 'Jumbo' conversion is good and certainly has better rotor longevity than you might otherwise see.
They also suffer less from fade. It's certainly an upgrade over the earlier front brakes but the 7/9 brakes aren't anything spectacular anyway (nor are the 850 brakes for that matter).
