That's not your problem. The cold start valve only works at temperatures below -15°

No worries, the 760 Turbo's also used the same TTS as the K-Jet models despite being EFI. I'll see what I have and get back to you.

Just a related question. I was able to buy a replacement thermo time switch which according to the green books is the correct part number for my car. It turns out it is too fat or thick to be installed in the orifice on the intake manifold. My question, are there different size threads for this part?

Maybe you mean it fits in the cylinder head (next to the inlet manifold) not actually in the inlet manifold.

The bulky part shown is not suitable as hardly any probe depth into the water and so seems a universal model so yes different thread size and probe depth on different euro Bosch fitted vehicles.

The thermal time switch thread is M14x1.5

Hi Anthony, thank you for the quick reply. Yes it’s not in the intake manifold, rather on the cylinder head. Upon further review of the green manuals, I realized I was confused between the gauge temperature sender which is in the forward part of the cylinder head under the intake manifold of cylinder #1 and the actual position of the cold start injector thermo time switch which is on the cylinder head under the intake manifold of cylinder #4.

I will go back and get this sorted out.

In the forward part of the cylinder head, under the intake manifold of cylinder #1 is the gauge temperature sender.

I don't know if you noticed this already or not, but your retrofit thermal switch has a different connector from the original. It looks like the new one uses a 2-pin Bosch Junior connector. You'd need to modify your wiring harness with the new connector.

Hi James thanks for the keen eye! Yes I realized it after I reviewed the green manuals. I mixed up a lot of things. The 2 pole blue sensor is really an EFI sensor for an LH 2.2 where in fact it should be a single pole spade terminal gauge temperature sender. Not only is the sensor wrong, the socket from the harness is also in the wrong position! The 2 pole socket should go to the thermo time switch which should be in the rear portion of the cylinder head near cylinder #4.

If you still need a temp gauge sender (the 1-pole) I should have a few spare used ones.

Edit: I might have a used thermo switch also (the one behind cyl #4)

I think I actually have a few thermal time switches floating around I was gathering all the good ones I could find when I had the 360 ?

Actually I probably have any head sensors you need whether it's for kjet, 2.2 or 2.4 hahaha I hoard shit
