Hi all,
I’m on the lookout for an 850r. It needs to be a wagon and manual.
Must be in NSW
Thanks!

No wonder I’d never seen a t5r wagon for sale in aus hahaJamest5r_;c-161738 wroteDon't bother looking for a T-5R wagon as Australia didn't get any, 850's do come up occasionally however if you want top condition be prepared to pay top dollar
Pretty good advice here , I managed to get a 855 r but auto and in roughly 2 years of ownership been getting it sorted and cost a small fortune. Next the body work and been quoted between 3 - 6 k . Then at the back of my mind I'd love a manual conversion. Done it on an old VW and not a walk in the park with fwd especially on the driveway. ..Ex850R;c-161746 wroteYou may find a T5 or which is same anyway mechanically.
If you don't want to spend for a good one and find a poor one you will spend way more than buying a good one in repairs....
I had an 855R manual wagon years ago, there were about 80 R wagons brought here and just over 30 manuals, you need to buy any one you see or miss out.....
Saw that, does anyone know anything about that particular one? I’ve seen it go on and off the market so many times. My only concern was I’d heard about electrical problems with the v70’s, are they different to the 850?BigEd;c-161810 wrotehey mate saw this on gumtree. might be right for you

Thanks, definitely a good option to consider but there is something about the 850 that I can’t get over.Ex850R;c-161820 wroteIt's an 850 underneath. P80 platform except with proper traction!
The awd system is a power snapper but when you need traction it's there plus you get proper rear suspension with A arms , all alloy unlike the silly fwd with its delta link....
I've had many P80s and the auto V70R I had was good to drive , lacked power due to a near dead motor.
The gumtree one looks good, sounds like been kept in good order, if you can go without the 850s funky looks and interior then go for this.
