I've been meaning to get this thing back on the road for a decade, so maybe creating this thread will help motivate me?
It's a 1970 IIA 88". It still has the original Rover 2 1/4 petrol engine which is a bit rare, as Holden 6 conversions were extremely popular.
It's pretty standard apart from the following:
Bullbar/driving lights
Terrible aftermarket seats
Genie extractors
Defender 130 wheels
Truck style mirrors
Tachometer
And some minor stuff.
Work to be done:
Repair rusted chassis crossmembers
Make gearbox crossmember removable (original are welded in)
Full brake overhaul
Full suspension overhaul
Full rewire
New original type seats
And whatever else needs to be done to make it roadworthy and reliable.
