perko;20056 wroteyeah, loosen and tighten opposite sides as you do it and try get them even tightness or it'll squeal like a bitch (ask me how i know...)
i found it easiest with the fan shroud off so you can reach down from the top, though it is doable from underneath
For those that care, this technique is known by me as the 'opposite and adjacent' technique....
Similar to head torquing, but where circles are concerned O+A makes for a more even pressure spread as tightening is carried out.
The above diagram uses a 'reverse adjacency' method, in that you tighten 1, then 2, but three is back adjacent to 1.
A simpler method is to tighten 1, then opposite to 2, then 3 is adjacent to 2, and 4 is opposite that 'new' three.
