@timbo I will be using an aftermarket standalone ECU in the car like a Haltech. Long time away from that tho. I might start up a thread once things progress.
@Ghettobird you certainly are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to gearboxes ha ha. Plenty of great info for me to go off.
I can agree with you that the Nissan transmission would def be the go if the budget allows. I'm not in a huge rush so will prob just keep my eye/ears open for a bargain. Hopefully my finances will align with any opportunity that comes up, unlikely tho ha ha.
If I was looking to push BIG power or focus more on drag racing again I would be looking into a built automatic but at this stage I'm just keen to built a cool cruiser that's different to the norm, with that wicked 5-pot rumble!
In regards to the sump, I'm not sure I will have the clearance to go with a traditional wet sump so will prob end up with a dry sump arrangement. Will be able to tell for sure once I have the motor sitting in place.
