Today was all side quest…
Picked up shitbox Magna:

And then a quick trip to Stockinbingal to pick up….
….another shitbox Magna.

They’re both manual 3.0 litre V6s.
Maroon one runs and drives, but has a dead alternator and dead/blocked clutch master cylinder. The body has copped a poor repair long ago, so now there’s chunks of bog falling out.
It also has the usual 6G7x leaking cam cover gaskets.
On the bright side, it seems to run beautifully, and the interior is nice.
The white one… I went to look at it in the hope that the body and paint would be good - it is better but not better enough. It’s supposed to run, but has a dead clutch.
Interior is gross, and it was clearly not looked after before the clutch died.
Honestly, the seller is in a bad spot, and I had driven an hour and a half so I offered more than it is worth to me and dragged it home… It does have a towbar, five Solara alloy wheels, a working clutch master and presumably working alternator.
Total investment so far is $550.
I will wash them both tomorrow, and have a think about what I am going to do.
The loose plan is to move the maroon car’s motor, gearbox and interior into the white shell.
And then it will receive the “left over” Evo Bilsteins and Brembos, and um, something something.

Funnily enough on the way out of the town I bought the one one from, I saw a really tidy one sitting in the driveway of an obviously empty house… No idea how to try to track down the owner.
