So we braved our first ever outing in the Amazon over the weekend!
Trial by fire, a trip to Tamar Ridge winery.
Rained there and back..what better way to test the brakes! Through town and plenty of lights. They were great :)
(Wouldn't have gone otherwise!)
New jets and kit through the carbs, but seems not everyone who says so, actually knows what they're doing.
I've discovered the new rear jet tube is not sealed at the float bowl, and the same rear jet height is actually at the bridge, waiting for mixture adjustment!?! No wonder the poor old girl had the stumbles.
Have had to whip out the timing light two days in a row, which lends weight to my suspicions the timing gear is cactus. A good job for one of these rainy weekends we're having.
A smaller problem was the speedo giving in, most likely the cable, but yet to confirm.
The to-do list grows....but to be cruising with the family in the old girl brought big smiles all round :)
There's nothing like the smell of an old Volvo, and it just gets better once warmed up from driving!
