Thought it might be worth posting an update having driven with the RS4 tyres for a couple of months. They have loads of grip, and give way more confidence that the car will go where you want it to, plus they lose grip fairly progressively too. I also did the "race mode" mod so I can fully disable traction control now - that combined with the tyres, LSD and suspension makes the car handle way better than you could expect from a Volvo.
However I am chasing some issues with boost/power delivery, as well as some wheel hop in the front suspension, plus I won't be doing a track day any time soon due to covid, so I haven't been driving the car as hard. Because of this I switched back to my other rims with Goodyear tyres, and comfort/noise are noticeably better now, so the RS4's are still not perfect for daily driving. Will probably try a set of Bridgestone S007A's once the Goodyears wear out.
