Anyone got any bright ideas on how to do this?
I have the bases out (easy part), I have the locking tabs out of the sides (one was easy, the other fought all the way) but I still cannot remove it.
I've found these -

And the Haynes manual is fucking useless.
Any thoughts?

Very hard, big screwdriver or prybar, there is a spring 'blade' that stops it coming up and its just a matter of getting tough as far as i remember , not looking forward to doing mine either. there may be a tool or fab a flat pronged blade to silip in tehre....

That part is easy mate, tabs/spring/blades are out already. I simply cannot get the seat back out once that is done.

Thats why i said get a podgy bar!

Got a BIG pry bar. No good. Might just need another pair of hands.
May have a good go at it on the weekend instead.

I think it had to be lifted up straight so yeah , they weigh an absolute TONNE!

No real joy with it last night.
I'll do it over the weekend instead, along with ABS/TRACS module, fuel filter and rear brake lines.
Ex850R
Where is the fuel filter?

Down the back under the car. About a foot in front of LHS rear wheel.

Ahh, better get another couple of jack stands....You got any more x70 bits stashed up there? ;;)

I'm going to do it on the hoist. Also going to fit up the first pair of ADR approved (!) stainless braided brake lines.

As it happens I think I do have a fuel filter in the shed.

Its an easy job, I'm just doing mine as I'll have the thing up in the air anyway and I have NFI when it was replaced last.

I remember getting the strap to hold in place while doing up the bolt was a bugger until I cable tied it.

William , have a look and let me know what ye got?

Will do.

Someone put up a PIC of the side of the seat, I might remember if I took mine out...
AshDVS
All done. Just needed a second set of hands.
