Just an update on the timing cover job. I did get it done at perth volvo dealer. Been driving with all the plastics off the top and bottom off the engine and garage floor hasnt seen a drip yet although i do smell a bit hot oil smell some times but that could be stuff cooking off the manifold over time.
I had to go back a couple of times as they did not set the valve cover gaskets properly the first time (they say).
No regrets going dealer. They are quite willing to fit outside sourced parts. Like fuel pressure sensor i bought myself from FCP euro and Haldex filter and oil.
Still happy with it although i do miss my pristine ls430 despite the xc90 being much better family car.
Just want it to sound like a c63, its too quiet. Suggestions?
