Fuel cap with key $10 for one with no tab, i did find one with the tab on it but after checking out ebay i would have to get $50 for it. mirrors $10 each.
50 sounds fair for the complete one.
10 for mirrors sounds ok if I can get some mirror glass at a good price but dunno how hard to change the glass
Might do a bit of research and look at the mirror I have here.
Do you have a front bumper without dents or scratches to suit 70 model? Also, do you have power steering or A/c Parts? Rear boot lock mechanism? Good fog lights?
@dan I definitely have some bumpers, i would have to double check condition, dents i would say no, scratches I'm not so confident about.
I have a complete power steering setup and 3 A/C setups.
I have an original standard setup that uses the York compressor, I have an under dash model and I have another one that has the evaporator/blower unit mounted at the back under the rear parcel tray blowing forward.
definitely have rear boot lock.
I have some _ok_ fog lights, depends how good you want, really good ones are very hard to get.
Great thanks Rob. I'm near Ipswich QLD not far from Brisbane. I do travel south from time to time. I need to have a look at my spare parts car to double check what I have. Has been sitting in storage for the last decade and I can't remember what it actually has.......
I think I saw your supercharged 164 on ebay a few months back - did you buy it back?
I just found this forum today and I've been flicking through some of the threads of your projects and am in awww of what you and some of the other members have done with their 164's. I've just picked up a 170 164 manual in good condition - no significant rust and one owner.. Looking forward to getting it roadworthy which shouldn't take much and spending time making it a delicious beast. Would love input from yourself and other members for ideas. Like many (I'm sure) I would love to go triple webers - however I'm actually much more comfortable working with injection and programming ECU's. Do you also have a decent EFI manifold?
Great! You're not far from me at all. I travel to Toowoomba regularly so it would be great to come by sometime and pick up a few parts if that suits you. Would really love to see your supercharger setup to consider if I could do something similar.
I can double check what other parts i have if you know exactly what you are chasing.
I definitely have at least 2 curved 164 bumpers, I will have to double check condition.
Am always interested in swapping for bits that are useful, '73 bits I could definitely use. Would be interested in knowing what other bits and pieces you have? I don't suppose you have any 142 bits?
It's a long shot, but do you have a bonnet badge from an early 140? I think they were only used up to 1970. 164's had a different style one around '73.
