  • [Part-out] 1997 V70 T5 manual wagon

Hi all,

If you're interested in any parts from this 1997 V70 T5 wagon, let me know what you're after. Items on the list below are already taken. The paint is midnight blue, but is not in particularly good condition.

Already claimed:
* ECU
* T5 emblem
* Airbox
* Gearbox and manual bits
* Side marker lenses
* Towbar
* Wing
* Front seats
* A-pillar trims
* B-pillar trims
* Wood grain trim pieces
* Plastic radiator relay support panel
* Front door trim panels
* Driver's side lock actuator
you have my list :)

I think only the R has those, there is an R for sale at Berry Motor Group that has them, if I buy a V70 and they decide to wreck that R I will most likely swap the seats!
Australian spec T5s had leather and alcantara seats as well as the leather door inserts.

In the UK our T5s would have been a 'T5 SE'
We had only a single T5 variation in trim/spec.

So some possibilities here are -
* This is a T, not a T5, but has roof spoiler, perfos, and driving lights fitted.
* UK import
* Swapped at some point (unlikely)
* Or some sort of weird variation.
Not a UK import, speedo is metric only.... might have come from Ireland though.... but they tended to de-badge all T5's so they didn't get stolen...
Nah , my T5 was 97 and had em.
Maybe the original owner just asked for full leather?
I'll have a dig around for import plates.
I might want:
Towbar
Wing
Seats
motor : X_X

I dont think so. every S70 and V70 T5 I've ever seen was alcantara/leather seats and leather door inserts.
My 1997 S70T5 was the same.

Ah, good point.
By now the possibility of it being messed with is probably fairly high,
Maybe a Japanese import?

Same.

Maybe. Dunno why you would though.
I like these little exceptions and variations to all other things that you see around.

Doesnt look like it has sunroof either?

My V70T5 doesnt have a sunroof - this is excellent, all the other cars I'd been looking at did.

My 1995 850T5 had a sunroof but, interestingly, it was fitted post delivery to Australia, but before the car was first sold.
I have a 99 T5 sitting in my yard with all leather

Really? whats the story with that one? Aus delivered car?

I've got the log books here, the car came from Scuderia Veloce, which is about 2km from here!

Anyway the build date is April 1997.

I went out in the pouring rain for you people:

Yes, it's definitely a T5

VADIS confirms:
Ignore the battery, it's the only one I had handy.
850 owners, might I interest you in the superior design of the V70's bonnet latch? @nickm?
