Glad you got it driveable... My manual V50 is not pleasant to change gears so I might try a new torque mount myself. I bought one a while ago, but have been too lazy to actually fit it.

How about getting a Pedders $28 suspension check? Amongst a full check over, they do a test of shock/strut performance so comparing side to side might show that one of the struts is bad.

Anybody after S40/V40 parts might be interested in the 2002 Phase 2 V40 2.0 NA that recently arrived at Pick n Payless.

I happened to come across an old Manheim auctions listing for a 2002 V40 T4 manual! I have never seen a phase 2 T4 in Australia before and thought they had been discontinued (I have a Volvo press release from April 2001 saying the T4 was discontinued).

I looked up the VIN in VIDA and it shows as a MY2003 T4 with B4204T5 engine so it really is a T4.

Must be the rarest V40 in the country. Wish I had seen it when it came up for auction...

If you are in NSW then you will need to add the cost of blue slip, NSW registration and getting it home. Budget for close to $1000 to register it on NSW assuming blue slip inspection finds no significant problems.
