87 360GLT (Possibly cursed) forsale or swaps

pigdogdave (@pigdog) Wollongong NSW
ok so im sure most of you have seen the endless work gone into this thing on fb but for those of you that haven't heres whats been done.

Car was bought non running and unregistered with a fuel pump issue i got it running perfect and registered then it blew a headgasket 3 days later... i decided to swap in a B230f cause i had a known good motor here and i would rather upgrade then just fix something .
The car has fought me every step of the way and for every thing i fix it throws 3 more things at me but i kept going and kept getting things better and better ..

now we are having a low oil pressure problem so the car is parked up in the shed , its probably just the o-rings on the oil pump or the pump itself i don't really know or care at this point im over it and need another car .

the car still starts and runs flawlessly but i wont drive it till i sort the oil pressure issue out i don't want to risk the engine when its come so far.

the car has around 9 months rego left non pension .
B230f running the original 360 fuel and ignition system
K cam
240 injectors with all new seals and filters
new fuel pump and fuel filters
PCV has all been done
all new vac lines
new waterpump
new timing belt and tensioner
Rear main seal done
New clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing and pilot bearing
new poly engine mounts
new plugs /leads
interior is mint
exterior not too bad there are a few lil dings and scratches and some crappy paint but it presents reasonably well
the tailgate does need attention there is rust around one hinge that was stopping the hatch from sitting correctly /closing it has been braced for now and unused that was meant to be next on the list but the car hates me so keeps getting pushed back.
tires are average but legal
brakes are great
i have loads of spares to go with it for the right deal/price ... lights, bumpers, radiators ,mafs, ignition coils and crap tons more
i also have a LH2.4 loom from a 240 and flat flywheel drilled to LH2.4 if you wanted to go LH later on also negotiable in the deal.

car drives perfect its a fun little thing and has plenty of power , gearbox shifts smooth and there are no noises etc from the diff

Im open to offers swaps or cash i could cancel the rego and sell it cheaper if need be
i really just need another car asap its getting a bit much sharing one car between my partner and i and its time to admit defeat , it sux the car is so close to being perfect but i just cant justify throwing anymore time or money into it and its at the point where im not enjoying it anymore its become a chore .

If anyone wants to know anymore/is interested send me a msg or comment

Cheers
Dave.

sorry completly forgot im in wollongong .... i dont even know to be honest i feel like anything i ask is too much for what it is i would need like 2g to not be losing too much money would be moe comfortable at 2.5 but i think thats a stretch.
im going to drop the sump tomorrow and investigate whats going on and hopefully get it fixed but even then it might be best to move it on its doing my head in
i just need a damn car that can be driven every day not once a month haha
  • Considering its able to be put on H plates and how nice it it for what it is, $2500-3k fixed would be pretty reasonable to me

yeah true i think i just look at it like a pile of crap because its giving me hell, also not sure of the legalities of having the 2.3l in there my mehanic is good and will just pass whatever i give him but i thought that could really bring the price down .

  • It's under 20% change in displacement its self certified iirc

It's under 20% change in displacement its self certified iirc

That was my original thought but wasn't 100% i just contacted the rms technical guys to confirm and that is correct if the engine came out in that series of vehicle but because the 360s largest motor was the 2.0L it will need to be engineered :/
i think ill just fix the bloody thing and rock it ive never had cops check my engine numbers and it looks the same to the untrained eye .
  • I had a 360 with the 2.3 dropped in years ago, nobody ever said a thing.

I thought it's if it was under 20% power output? I hope I'm wrong!

    Both
The displacement thing just covers boring or stroking things slightly
