Not sure if anyone else has posted link, but Wheeler dealers has recently posted an episode on the 850 T-5R. Full episode on YouTube.

I can't believe how much he suggested they sell for in the US. I have heard people discussing their value in the US online before and I thought they sold for even less than here. Don't know how brewer managed to get $14K for one, even if it was a black wagon.
I know the USA only got it in auto, but here in Aus an auto trans seems to almost half the selling price of the higher spec 850s.

It's a T-5R wagon though, which was never sold here.

Ah man, I was surprised the whole episode was on YouTube, it must have been taken down for copyright reasons or something :(

It would be great if shows like this, sometimes out of the blue, helped the people they are buying from.
The guy who hosts the show, was old enough to be that girls father. Wouldnt have been great if he told her how rare these are, helped her fix it, and then she could have kept the car, loving it even more.
Not likely. Just wish these shows once every now and then, were more ultruistic.
Lots of Volvo lovers would have appreciated such a gesture.

Funnily enough, Ed China (the guy who used to be the mechanic on wheeler dealers) now has a program where people write in describing their project car that they are having trouble with, and he goes and helps them get it back on track and complete it. Very telling of the differences between Ed and Mike Brewer haha.

Yup, love anything Edd touches
