Hey guys so i got another 240, a mate needed a motor and some parts for his car so bought this one as a donor and i couldn't help but take the rest.
The car is an 84 240 that spent most its life as a charity rally car.

The car has aftermarket sway bars front and rear , the rear being quite interesting ..
There's a 17mm bar behind the diff in stock location then there's a 2nd 17mm bar in front of the diff that mounts to the diff , torque rods and body and has an adjuster .
The front has a 21mm swaybar
I have bought the rear swaybar of my mate but he wants the front, i was going to put my 28mm falcon bar up front or would it be better to try and buy the 21mm front bar?
The car is sitting on raised king springs all round , makes it bloody easy to get under which is a nice change .
Ok so plans with the car are vast yet easily obtainable , it will be a budget rat track club car thing , I've given myself till nationals next year . so the finger is out and doing things .
The misses and i would both like to get into some form of motorsport mainly hillclimbs we have the local Huntley hillclimb just down the road and we want to give it a crack along with drifting ,drag and anything else i can hoon the f outta this thing .
ill be going super budget and super simple, just going to run a spring and shock combo, adjustable panhard and torque rods and poly bushes throughout .
adjustable panhard and torque rods will be DIY , ill get a fabricator mate to chop up and modify the stock ones .
motor and trans combo are still undecided , i have an M45 box that might go in and ill pick up a cheap B230f or something but it will be manual so another conversion is happening .
it will be NA not chasing big power just something fun to thrash and learn in .
I would really like to go dual carbs and am interested in advice/opinions about going down that path.
being budget and having a short timeline it will prob just be efi and ill swap it over to LH2.4
Is that just a matter of swapping out loom and ecu + ezk ?? also need advice on that haha
I will be going manual steering so will be chasing a manual rack cheap as hell or swap for the power rack would be ideal ;)
Think that's about it for now , I'm going to try and keep this updated regularly i have a good camera now so ill take plenty of pics especially of the DIY adjustable bits and random cool crap .
Hopefully this pig doesn't give me too much trouble shes not going to like whats going to happen to her but I'm feeling confident i actually have half a clue what I'm doing now the last 240 taught me a lot now time to learn a few more things .
