Hi guys,
I bought a V50 on the weekend and it only came with one key. Just wondering what the best option is for getting a second key?
I’m assuming buying a key online and then having it programmed at the dealer is the best option? If so, any recommendations for where to get the key?
Has anyone done this recently and can possibly give me a ball park figure?
Also, might be a stupid question but there are a bunch of second hand keys for sale on eBay in the UK. Would it be possible to get one of these and have it reprogrammed for my car?
Cheers

Call Mark at Berry motor group, they have keys in stock at times or can help.

I got a V50 key through Berry, from memory it was about $200 and another $100 or so to program

If you are in Melbourne, Berry is the best bet.
For the wife's V50 the quote from the stealer dealer was $550.
Avoid the used keys from ebay, unless they come with programming codes they are only useful for swapping the casing (if your key looks shabby and you want a better looking key fob)

Corrected....
I admire the persistence of the NZ guy who settled with Toyota NZ after invoking consumer law over the cost of replacement keys....

Thanks all! I’ll give Berry Motors a buzz tomorrow.

FYI for anyone in the same boat.
I managed to source a key from Berry Motors for $200 and had it programmed at Volvo Camberwell for $100.
