my 21 y o V70 is creaking and groaning from the power st pump. I thought it might have been CVs but it isn.
Solutions are to try to get a new one ($lots)
Get a second hand one ($150) but risk it wont last
Refurbish it (probably needs new bearings and seals (which is what my garage guy is thinking of). Anyone any experience of the refurbish option ? or am i wasting my time??
Does anyone know the brand/ model used by volvo . I found some maval pump at FCP but im not sure thats the real deal

It's common at this age and you may need a rack as well.
I'm sure seal kits are on fcp site for the lot?

thanks for that.
I did a bit more research - there are kits in the US but no one want s to post here.
FCP dont have a kit but the maval item P N 3546907 matches the unit "Robert" (American 850/V70 aficionado) is replacing in his Utube video
This is US 120 ex FCP + 50 for their core charge i think ill go this way at least i get new bearings and seals.
And in the mean time i can get a $15 US kit sent to a mate in CA so i can refurb the one i take out. Wish me luck

Don't bother with new one then?
Just fix the one you have.
I've got the later version, 2000,v70 one you can have so you can refurbed yours.
Different in that it has remote reservoir and so smaller coolant bottle as it sits there , I can send you the lot or grab one off some body near you cheap?
