Philia_Bear;c-142993 wrote2007 could easily be a split pcv as well
I'd be thinking about the fuel pressure sensor unless previously replaced or even AMM
Where on east coast of nsw r U?
I have decided I will disconnect the battery for an hour or so to see if it will clear. If not will look at FPS next.
I'm in Sydney (Manly) Philia_Bear but was down Bega then Ulladulla. Eventful trip. Emission light came on just after Cobargo. Picked up a big nail in a rear tyre between Bega-Cobargo. Despite the twisty roads and maintaining good speed I did not notice it through the corners. Only noticed when getting back in the car at Cobargo and noticing the spare was a space saver decided to fill the tyre which held pressure. I continued to Ulladulla, stopping once at Bodalla to confirm the pressure was holding. When I reached Ulladulla I dropped in to Tyre Power to get the tyre repaired. There was a cup of rubber granules inside the tyre and it was worn through the inner lining in one spot. Yikes, it could have blown. As I have two new Michelin Pilot 4 tyres in the garage I bought a $30 used tyre (Yokohama) from them and continued to Sydney.
Then coming down the hill into Albion Park I drove straight over a pyramid shaped rock in the middle lane :o thanks to some &$@*^ who hadn't secured their load properly. It made a helluva bang under the car. I stopped shortly after with two wheels up on the gutter to inspect and there was no apparent damage.
Otherwise the car ran like a dream.
tim. You would need to scan the fault codes to get accurate advice.
If it's long term fuel trim then the breather hose is probably split.
Fuel rail pressure sensor is a possibility too
Will get my mechanic to check codes in coming day/s. As there was no associated message I'd be surprised if it reveals anything. Will look at the breather hose, thanks. Then FPS.
Which Bosch # FPS is the one for this model? Where is cheapest place to source?
