AW70/71/72 will all bolt in and work without issues
AW70 is what would have been in a 89 240 in most cases
AW72 will have slightly higher shift points because it was originally for the 16v, this works quite well with a bog standard 240 running a VX or VX3 cam as the cam does much better up high as compared to the M cam
The AW72 are all the L variant as well which has a locking TQ for better highway fuel economy
The AW70 and 71 also came in L versions
71's were found in later 240's running the 531 head with VX/VX3 cam as well as all turbo 7/9 cars
