When oil leaks returned the cover was pulled and belt appeared dry. Mechanic suggested Camshaft Adjusting pulleys (VVT phasers). I've driven maybe 15 K since and not checked the belt to see if any oil is on it (had just spent huge $$$ between all genuine timing belt, seals and PCV and workshop labour, the thought of spending another two and a half thousand dollars on it directly after didn't excite me very much.
I personally didn't want to believe the Camshaft Adjusting pulleys could be the cause as the leak wasn't clearly evident there and the car is not high mileage.
About to get a dealer to investigate and advise what they think of the leak source.
I'm more concerned why I'm ending up with so much carbon sludge type gunk in the oil filter housing. That crap on the concrete just in front of the filter in the photo is just part of it, there's actually about 2 tablespoons worth in the oil filter housing, not normal in my opinion.
