Hi guys! I have a few quick ones. As my beloved C30 - pics are posted elsewhere on the forum - comes up to nine years in age, it's developed a few little quirks and as respected fellow Volvo people. I'd like to get your thoughts:
1. Bluetooth/handsfree. As it is an MY10 C30 R-Design it came with factory Bluetooth handsfree. As of late it has developed an intermittent issue whereby I can dial from the car, my contacts sync from my phone to the car's directory and I can hear the other person at the end of the line but they can't hear me. Could it be a lack of compatibility with my phone - I have an iPhone X which is an utter piece of crap - or could it be an issue with the mic or something else?
2. Parking sensors. The parking sensors seem to be very sensitive and beeping increases in frequency as it should when approaching an object, but when you get too close, there's no solid beep. Just nothing. Does the system need to be reset? The sensors themselves don't appear to be damaged.
3. Interior heating and cooling fan. The fan has been creaking and groaning on start up for a while now. All climate control functions and fan speeds work fine though so I haven't given it much thought. However, more recently - and potentially due to the frosty winter here in Melbourne - the fan does its creak and groan thing, followed by a soft knock. Again, only does it when its cold. If you switch the car off and restart its fine. Again, climate system is operating normally and the car is generally a joy.
What are your thoughts?
