lasercowboy Due to a few new projects coming on line that require a wagon, I'm looking to switch my S40 (2010, 2.4i, 98,000km) for a V50. Happy to do this with $$ either way, or buy outright and sell mine separately. Prefer later model (08+) T5, but happy to consider any year. Gearbox agnostic at this stage (auto / manual both fine!)
Philia_Bear lasercowboy;c-140707 wroteIt is an auto Grrr... I'm hunting a 2.4i manual to take to India
lasercowboy Ahhh -- i would probably find a way to keep hold if it was a manual.. they are super rare around here!
jettaboy hi have a mate about to sell a V50 2.4 NA petrol auto... 07 me thinks...black, beige leather, sunroof around 5k but sydney
lasercowboy Thank you for the lead! But NA, black paint and beige leather is probably the least appealing combo for me unfortunately :( Trying not to be too fussy, but some things add up to deal-breakers (it'll be a dog bus a lot of the time!)
lasercowboy Oh you're not wrong... the torque of the D5 is utterly addictive and arse-engagingly fun. I'm just morally opposed to owning a diesel passenger vehicle in an inner city.

lasercowboy Thanks @timbo ! For this one: https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Volvo-V50-2007/SSE-AD-5497069/?Cr=7 the dude says it's just had a "full transmission rebuild and service". Would you be worried that the gearbox is knackered and he wants to get shot of it before it costs him any more?
Chris Depends if he had a decent job done or a cheap fix to sell it. I'd be more interested in the rest of the car - what else might be on the way out?
Vee_Que More that they have spent the money but no longer love the car so will sell it while it's fresh and can recoup some money. Just make sure there are receipts for it.
