I'm thinking like a 850 / v70 wagon, with a 2.3L~ donk and a 8k rpm redline.
Large throttle bodies making all sorts of naughty noises, that stuff kinda gets to me.
I suppose that's what the British Touring car engines where like?
This has been done quite a few times
It still makes less power than a T5 with a tune and is much more expensive and much less reliable
I've done a shite ton of work with the B6304... fitting the better flowing later turbo head, but making NA cams work in it for much better lift... getting dual VVT working for actual performance... manifolds etc...
The Hyd lifters are only reliable to 7200rpm so I just live with a 7200RPM limit because more would require custom cam grinds and a pile of other stuff
End result... its still only 180KW at the wheels but makes amazing sounds when its singing
