Hi my 84 240 runs really well, starts first time, except when cold (not used for a day or so). It takes a few turns of the key, and then it starts, stumbling a bit. Then it runs well. Hot starts are never a problem. It seems to be getting worse.
I used to refer to the k-jet website but now it's gone unfortunately. Any ideas where to start? The car is new to me so I'm not sure of service history, parts replaced etc.
Thanks, Jaan

Same problem with my car, 1983 B23E Kjet, sometimes Rev's will drop down and it will stall on cold starts.
Check the vacuum lines, half of mine were missing, now it seems to run better (with less knock...)
But, no other problems, just need to rev it a little when you start it sometimes, been like this for about a year so far.

I would check the distributor components, rotor arm and contact breakers..... Sometimes just a spark plug change can to wonders.

Yeah check the plugs, they might be a bit fouled up. That's been the cause of hard cold starts for me in the past.
