ICEDVOVO Need rear drive shaft /propeller shaft and diff / final drive) from 98V70 XC or 98 V70 or S70 AWD Any other AWD components from 98-2000 also needed like the angle gear for a manual transmission already have the torque tube (viscous coupling)
Philia_Bear Ex850R;131424 wrote@Philia_Bear did you have these from that Cross Country you crushed? Already sold :-(
ICEDVOVO Thanks for asking and thanks for answering. Parts aren't urgent, car feels great in fwd, just want to see what it would be like in AWD the way it wa originally.
ICEDVOVO Thanks Rob. I can get the diff and already have the torque tube. So maybe all I need is your tailshaft; I have to check if the shaft lengths are the same on manual and auto transmissions. The angle gear geometry is different on the manual gearbox so it may affect it. I'll get back to you on that. Do you have the entire shaft and do you know if it was well balanced ?
Rob As far as I am aware, the angle gear shares geometry all the way through. There are a couple of different flanges and a couple of different angle drive castings but they all fit up the same. This one is from an auto but is identical to the one in my C70 which is ex P80 M58 V70XC Shaft is complete and had no issues.
ICEDVOVO Thanks Rob. Checked it out on VIDA. Yep. Auto or manual, XC or AWD, makes no difference; same angle gear But there are 2 different companion flange sizes - 92mm OD and 95mm OD But there are 3 (YES THREE!!!!) different shafts within a 2 year period. And 16 different part numbers for variations on the M8 Hex flange screws at different lengths ranging from 40mm to 70mm in 2,5mm increments and with white, yellow or green marking!!!!!! According to Vin number VIDA says part no 8251731( now 8602507) is the one I need and is 95mm OD which also matches the torque tube (viscous coupling) flange that we have. (There were 2 different torque tubes as well) The 2nd one has 92mm OD companion flanges The 3rd one also has 92mm flanges but has some other variation - maybe thickness - not explained by VIDA Anyway lets cut to the chase: Can you please measure the flange so we know we are on the same page? -wayne
