ICEDVOVO
I've generally replaced thermostats with the standard ones; the only car I've ever used a high flow stat on was my overheating falcon xm 2 door pursuit which I stupidly traded in on my first volvo nearly 40 years ago.
So its there any advantage in using one in an aging volvo?
With a claimed 30% greater flow and opening up at 89 degrees instead of 91 degrees could it make the engine too cool?
Our volvos currently gets to around 90 then with more spirited driving get up to around 100 and dont seem to go much over that, nut on my v70T which I.ve had since new I do notice a much hotter engine bay than it was originally 15 years ago or perhaps that's just my imagination.
I cant see what possible harm it could do; with an aging vehicle "fleet" I am keen to do whatever I can to keep them alive as long as I can so will a high flow help?
