Oldvolvoboy My1989 Volvo 740 GLE has started to shudder, sometimes quite severe on take off after driving for about 1/2 hour. Driving local around my area is no problem but when I go on a long drive stopping and starting at lights/stopping its a problem. Eventually starts to run ok when I finally get up to speed. Have replaced the Centre bearing but I'm now told it is probably the distributor/Ignition?. Anyone have any ideas. Due to it being an intermittent problem and not near home I'm not sure the best to resolve my problem Thanks

Wino My old '93 940GLE (LH2.4) had a similar issue and it ended up being the AFM. That was a B234 motor though so i'm not sure if there are any differences.

Oldvolvoboy I'm at Gwandalan 2259, bottom of Lake Macquarie. Just come back for a long test drive and 99% sure its a distributor issue, so trying to track one down.
