There is a lot of crap coming out of China for sure, but not everything Chinese is crap. I am yet to see a genuinely poor quality adaptor-style spacer made anywhere - they all appear to be miles ahead of the old die-cast slip-on spacers.
I'll admit I do get a warm fuzzy feeling when the back of parts on my Volvo's say "Sweden, Germany, Belgium, UK, USA, Japan" etc etc, but never China.
I'll also say I get that same fuzzy feeling when I fly Qantas, BA, JAL, ANZ etc etc..... And that I'd never ever fly with a Chinese airline - EVER. Does that make me racist. I hope not. I just like good stuff and certain places have a long history of being capable of high standards.
I'm not looking forward to owning my first Volvo that says China on the other side of the parts. A tear will be shed for sure. At least Sweden will be overseeing the "brand" to ensure its values are upheld. That's why I don't want Chinese aftermarket, because of the lack of a reputatable organisation overseeing quality control, even then the fuzzy feeling will be absent.
