Afternoon,
Drivers side seat belt is toast, ratchet mechanism is broken, no longer providing tension or retracting.
Volvo asking $358 for the part, are they straight forward to install or is there some witchcraft which makes it better left dumped at the service center.
Folks have been warning me about the airbag in the pillar going off from static electricity, loud dogs barking, improper tweets from Donald Trump. Well it's got me worried.
More pain, there is a $500 AU Falcon in my street that I walk past every day that is really starting to grow on me. Fairmont, Series 2, faded roof and boot lid, trolley damage on the rear wheel flare,. VVT engine and it looks to have IRS.. You know, proper falcon. (ha)
More more pain, I backed into a dam tree didn't I.
What you can't see clearly is all the folds and creases in the panel(s) DOH!
Now with over 200k on the clock, and due for belts and tensioners, I can't imagine my poor Ovlov is worth more then $500 :(
Wait I dumped that much worth in coils pseudo recently.
Anyway, any trickery in replacing the belt / ratchet in the pillar? Disconnect the battery and go nuts?
