cr80442 So my starter motor isn't disengaging anymore. I'll start the car cold and it won't many noise untill I rev the car a few times or drive it then the starter motor starts to whine as it isn't disengaging. I've had a look at the wires they seem fine. My ignition switch seems ok when I start the car it doesn't fully spring back from the third position so my radio etc doesn't turn on but I usally just turn it to the left a tad myself to get all the accessories going etc. My guessing is that the ignition switch is bad and it's not telling the solenoid to disengage the starter. Any ideas? Also is it safe to drive it the mechanics only like 10kms from my house? Cheers
Vee_Que Can you turn the switch back slightly and keep it running? Otherwise the starter is actually sticking and hitting it can loosen that off.
