Hi guys, about a year ago I replaced the large bush in my transmission torque mount with a polyurethane one in a search to rid my car of an annoying rattle/rustle it has. At the time I bought the small replacement bush for the transmission mount also but didn't install it since my rubber one looked ok and I couldn't seem to figure out how to remove it.
Anyway, rattle is still there and I still have the new poly mount so am thinking about installing it before I move onto driveshafts as the source of the sound.
The mount is two parts with a stainless steel tube for the bolt to run through. As mentioned, last time I had it out though I just couldn't figure out how to get the old bush out. Does it need to be cut out like the top engine mount, or pressed out or something? From memory I tried pressing it out with a vice last time but had no luck.
