goodenough Black interior. Geminis Does this count as a Volvo still? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/1154818143?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms
deleted_user_1622 + $3k for a replacement engine would be a shadowy/rubbery figure. Then there are the "bubbles of rust, nothing structural". Yep, it would need to be a careful, thorough inspection and diagnosis of the knock.
jamesinc $1500 and roll the dice on whether or not it needs a rebuild. They're good motors, but they tend to come out of cars that get beat on hard. Good RB20DETs were hit-and-miss back when we were racing S13s down old pac, and that was over a decade ago, I can't imagine supply has improved in that time.
Slowbrick This thing looks interesting but not $4500 with a possible broken motor interesting. I would be very wary about how this conversion was done. I saw one conversion done with an RB and it was done very cheap and seemed very reliable but my god were there some shortcuts taken :open_mouth:
goodenough From what I know of the history I think the conversion was done correctly by a Volvo mechanic and then sold to this guy who cooked it.
